## Spray Foam Applicator
### Position Summary
The Spray Foam Applicator is responsible for the timely and smooth coordination of installing spray foam insulation in buildings, homes, etc. to the required specifications. If applicable, see other related job descriptions/training checklists for additional responsibilities and requirements.
### Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for working with team members to complete spray foam jobs and other necessary work as directed by the Spray Foam Manager or the Director
Prepares thoroughly, familiar with the scope of work per job and for job assignment by ensuring necessary equipment, safety gear, tools, paperwork and supplies are brought
Make necessary preparations for installation process at jobsite by unloading equipment and placing items in location of installation.
May be required to wear a supplied air or cartridge filter respirator throughout the application process depending on the type of product used.
Survey the job site and take steps to prevent and protect against overspray. This includes premises and vehicles parked near spray areas.
Keep people a minimum of 15 ft. away from the immediate spray area, especially those with glasses.
Survey electrical and security wiring and secure them as necessary before spraying.
Approach the prep work in a systematic way so that no areas are missed.
Ensure that can foaming and caulking are completed as necessary around windows, doors, etc. Use good judgment and caution to not over foam any areas.
Review the work done to ensure that there will be no callbacks.
Trim and bag scrapped foam materials as it accumulates.
Maintain a high standard of clean-up before leaving any jobsite. Be sure that all necessary touch-up work and clean-up is completed before leaving the jobsite.
Survey jobsite before leaving to ensure that all company tools and equipment are picked up, returned to the truck and cleaned up for the next use.
Understand the proper operating procedures of the spray equipment. Learn spraying techniques from other spray foam team leaders.
Work to develop good spray techniques to eliminate waste and overspray.
Uphold and protect the high quality standards of Kinzler Companies ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards.
Responsible and accountable for working with team members.
Other duties as assigned.
### Crew Leader Duties
Meet with site supervisor / homeowner at the beginning and end of each job for pre and post inspections, to answer any questions and ensure a thorough quality job.
Responsible for entire job - think of the finished product as your own, take ownership in you and your crews work.
Keep track of all fellow crew members on site to make sure appropriate tasks are assigned and each individual is working in a systematic, productive way.
### Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at

Ability to demonstrate a respectful and professional demeanor at all times with strong
May be required to wear respirators with supplied air or cartridge filters. Must pass a pulmonary and respirator physical by an approved qualified physician.
Knowledge of construction business and/or 1 year prior related experience helpful but not necessary.
Valid driver licenses and clean driving record. May be required to hold or be able to obtain a CDL class B with air brakes.
Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to read, speak and write the English language.
High school diploma or GED.
### Physical Requirements
Constant (67-100%) standing and walking.
Frequent (34-66%), repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs. over shoulder height.
Frequent (34-66%) moving of heavy equip.
Frequent (34-66%) bending, squatting and twisting.
Frequent (34-66%) climbing and the use of ladders and scaffolding.
Requires stamina to work extended hours.
### Work Environment
While performing the essential functions of this position, the Spray Foam Applicator will be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including exposure to extreme cold, heat and humidity. Exposure to dusty, noisy jobsite conditions, fumes, insulation materials and some chemicals.
### Additional Employment Standards
Must pass post-offer, pre-employment drug screening.
Must have and maintain good, clean driving record.
Must follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment as instructed verbally and as outlined in the Kinzler Companies Safety manual.
Must have ability to perform each essential job duty/responsibility satisfactorily with or without accommodation.
