Job Overview:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting in monitoring, analyzing and collection of all receivables as it relates to the independent business customer base. This includes taking the necessary action for collection of past due funds including NSF activity and cash on delivery shipments. The incumbent will assist in investigating changes in customer financial conditions, by analyzing and evaluating the credit risk associated with the account receivable and notes receivable portfolio by performing UCC searches, compiling Risk Ratings, Exposure Reports and preparing security documentation.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Gather and review the necessary financial statements, credit application, and other required documents to secure open account approval of potential new customers.
Making recommendations as to the approval and collateral requirements as outlined in the appropriate policy.
Investigating changes in customer financial conditions, assessing the level of risk to company assets tied up in accounts receivables, making recommendations for corrective action, and alerting management of areas of concern.
Maintains complete credit files reflecting proper security documents, retailer agreements, promissory notes, current financial statements, and any other documents and correspondence necessary for maintaining the proper credit controls.
Review and analyze financial statements determining creditworthiness, cash flow position, and value of assets securing the credit exposure.
Prepare business and security documents for execution by the customer.
Prepare detailed credit exposure and collateral valuation, UCC searches, and bad debt schedules for Management, Region, Credit, and Screening Committee review.
Job Requirements:
Four year degree with emphasis in Finance/Accounting or other business related field.
Understanding of commercial credit collections, and the practical application of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and has the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel via email and telephone, and with the independent retailer.
Sound PC skills that include and advance level understanding of Excel and word.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
