Job Overview:
The field marketing manager plans, executes and manages programs that generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities for the sales team. He or she partners with the inside and field sales teams to execute programs that build the pipeline needed to exceed quotas and is the primary liaison between various marketing functions , field sales teams and central demand functions such as the demand center.
The field marketing manager is responsible for developing marketing plans consisting of multi-touch, multi-dimensional programs including both inbound and outbound tactics in order to achieve growth plans within their region. He/she also manages and negotiates vendor relationships and works closely with Market Development, Product Marketing, Sales, Global MarComs, Global Events, Global Marketing Operations and Global Online Marketing to drive successful marketing programs for his/her market segment.
The ideal candidate brings a passion for creating marketing programs that drive demand; nurture leads; build pipelines; and enable sales teams to exceed their quotas. He or she has proven success running data-driven marketing programs that deliver measurable revenue growth; and a track record of collaborating with sales to deliver the marketing tools they need to win.
Roles/
Responsibilities:
Cultivate the appropriate marketing mix to ensure a healthy pipeline to drive consistent growth for your segment
Partner with sales leadership to develop and implement pipeline acceleration programs
Interface with sales to determine sales enablement needs, and work with product/solution marketing to develop tools, programs in a box, training and content
Forecast, measure, analyze, refine, improve and report on impact of programs
Proactively engage with the sales and product marketing teams to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of marketing activities.
Evaluate, select and manage vendors and internal teams that contribute to local demand creation programs including events venues and services, digital marketing agencies, direct mail providers, SEO experts, designers, copywriters and list brokers
Communicate and educate the sales team regarding new and planned marketing activities including global, regional and local programs
Research, choose, design and manage live events to be included as tactics in the overall marketing mix, and ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, at-event and post-event strategy to increase engagement and response rates
Position Requirements
Education, Experience & Training required:
Degree level education with 4-6 years marketing experience in B2B software industry ideally with SaaS experience
Experience developing and executing successful lead gen and sales enablement marketing plans
Experience with MS Office applications, CRM ( ), marketing automation (Eloqua), content and calendar management tools, analytics and campaign tracking tools (Tableau).
