We're looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team! This role is responsible for day-to-day project production and management, and delivering results with efficiency and precision.
You are:
A detail-oriented person who is self-motivated, incredibly organized and excellent at time management.
(You correct grammar and spot typos with ease!) An excellent writer -- your content is concise and compelling.
(Do you omit needless words? We love Strunk & White's The Elements of Style.
) Someone who looks beyond the surface -- you take a step back to understand the context of a project so you can elevate it with your own insights.
Familiar with basic design principles and comfortable coordinating projects with designers.
Excited to apply your communications experience and grow your skills with a team of seasoned communications professionals who will help you hone your talents.
Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic communications programs for both internal and external audiences, utilizing earned and owned media.
Craft concise and compelling content for a variety of channels, including news releases, thought leadership articles, newsletters and other digital content.
Lay out newsletters, news releases and other email campaigns, following existing templates and style guides.
Research media contacts and build media lists.
Assist with pitching media and handling inbound media inquiries.
Proof content and ensure consistency and adherence to writing styles and client style guides.
Assist with a wide variety of communications tasks for our clients, as directed by our team's account managers.
Provide art direction for various client projects.
Various admin and office tasks, as needed.

Experience Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
3-5 years of communications, public relations and/or marketing experience; agency experience preferred.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word.
Basic familiarity with AP Style, Adobe design programs and content distribution platforms are a plus.
