Advanced Methods Development Business Unit Manager Position Purpose:
The Technician I can work within a dynamic group, to meet project goals and timelines.
This position must be well organized, detail oriented, and have the flexibility to handle multiple project assignments.
This position requires an outgoing, quick learner and problem solver, with hands on ability to think outside the box, who can work both independently and on multiple project teams.
Responsibilities:
Test and troubleshoot equipment and development processes Modify, develop, and provide recommendations for tooling and fixtures Evaluate process and design alternatives based on manufacturability Support process validation and verification activities for continuation engineering, for production and new product introductions Meet key project milestones in the development of coating methods and processes Provide the BUM with technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process (advantages/limitations) Assists both coating development and process groups in writing technical reports by capturing, analyzing and summarizing experiment results Work closely with other departments to timely solve technical problems in method development Conduct root-cause analysis and make sound design recommendations, with appropriate problem-solving techniques Provide BUM with appropriate information to obtain approvals from customers for all changes in scope of work and delivery dates Stay abreast of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies Develop strategies to optimize manufacturing (e.
g.
, processes, yields and productivity) and the utilization of coating and spray equipment Maintain a clean and safe lab environment by keeping a clean work area and properly labeling all material containers Education, Qualifications and
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree (A.
A.
) preferred Experience working in a cross-functional team Previous experience designing and modify procedures, work instructions and specifications preferred Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to collect, summarize and report technical information Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Detail-oriented, highly organized team player Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Self-starter and motivated individual who works independently Mechanically inclined and experienced working with power tools Positive work ethic and demonstrate commitment to Harland Medical Systems corporate values.
Working Conditions and Health & Safety:
Heated and air-conditioned office and cleanroom/lab environment Employee is required to use appropriate PPE including, but not limited to, nitrile or latex gloves, lab coat, hair bonnet, shoe covers, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection, face shield, or respiratory mask while working in a lab or manufacturing space.
