My name is Wade and I sell insurance.
I need a Property and Casualty Account Manager who would like to help me run my insurance practice.
Why do we do this? An insurance career can be fun and fulfilling, who knew? At the MC Agency, we created a culture where everyone can be happy, loud, fulfilled, smiling, and a real person.
Our day at work is fun and challenging.
When we are done, we need to feel like we did something important.
We want everyone here to grow and prosper.
We want everyone to have a great work life and a great home life.
We want you to come to work smiling and go home smiling.
The foundation of our culture is our relationships, inside and outside of the agency.
It's not complicated, we like to be helpful.
We look out for each other, and we look out for our clients.
We like to help our friends, we are friends with our clients and colleagues.
For the larger community, growth comes at the intersection of capital and labor.
We serve the community by protecting the assets of our clients.
When wealth and assets are protected rather than disbursed, then businesses can grow and hire more people.
The community is better off, the economy is better, and more people have jobs.
What is the plan for the agency? We are building the MC Agency, and we are killing it.
We got on board with Atlas, they provide our carrier relationships and management system (EZLynx).
We are big on process, leads to efficiency and consistent high quality work.
All of our systems and tasks are well documented, and we have (searchable) step-by-step guides for how to do everything here.
We have a system that keeps track of what we are doing and what we need to do next.
The system automates our to-do list, and it makes joining the team way easier.
The producers have good prospecting systems and the new business flows in the door.
Our next step is to fill the seats in our office with more happy people.
Our agency is growing, at a constant, and even pace.
What does the MC Agency look like? We have a nice airy office in Eden Prairie.
All of the rooms have natural light.
We have good tech, fancy big monitors and a nice physical office environment.
The chairs are comfy, except the conference room chairs, they are really good-looking but they seem to be designed for something other than sitting.
We have a competitive compensation structure and nice benefits including health insurance a 401K match etc.
What is not part of the job? Getting stretched by two or more producers.
Getting yelled at.
No need to put up with bad, shouty behavior.
Giving a customer bad news.
(That's my job.
) Dealing with an abrasive customer.
(Also my job.
) The perfect candidate:
You are detail-oriented.
(I am not the detail person here.
) You are organized and know how to put things away in their place.
You have a great work ethic.
If you own a sense of humor and the toolkit to know how to use it, then that would be a bonus.
You are happy, and you would be happier if you worked with a lot of happy, fun people.
You can read an insurance policy and understand what it says.
You can work independently, with guidance but not constant supervision.
I am not a helicopter boss.
You play well with the other kids.
You are kind, generous is a plus too.
You have a high school diploma or a college degree.
You are licensed for P&C in Minnesota.
What are we going to expect from you? Five to ten years of commercial experience would be ideal.
However, if you are a really special candidate and have a lot going for you in terms of determination and grit, then we should talk, because maybe you would be a good fit for us.
We are a Commercial Lines and Personal Lines agency.
We get to do both.
As a smaller agency, we are generalists and we all do a lot of different things during the day.
Our people are not segregated by task.
All of our roles will change as we grow.
Who are we going to hire? Our hiring decision will be made more on personality than on experience or skills.
We like a great work ethic and a great attitude.
Skills can be taught, work ethic and attitude can't.
This will be a wonderful spot for you to grow personally and professionally.
We expect that you will, over time, build your skill set and craftsmanship.
We assist you in building a career plan if you want the help.
We want you to get better at your job and more proficient in consistent happiness.
When someone here makes a mistake, that is a chance for us to improve our process and build trust.
All of us help to build our agency, relationships and process over time; that never ends.
We are really happy with our results so far.
If this sounds like fun to you, reach out to me and let's talk.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
