Summary:
To develop and maintain a production schedule using statistical tools and collaboration with sales, procurement, production, and procurement.
All must be completed with the ultimate goal of servicing our customer's orders in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
) Schedules and coordinates flow of work between departments in accordance with sales, raw material, and available labor.
2.
) Communicate with Inside Sales then production to align priorities to meet customer requirements.
3.
) Review raw material demand with procurement to ensure inventory is being properly and efficiently purchased.
Make recommendations for areas where inventory levels can be more effectively managed 4.
) Participate in warehouse organization for efficient use of material flow.
5.
) Keep management proactively informed of manufacturing challenges and issues (capacity, machine downtime, and fluctuations in resources) 6.
) Support accuracy by continually updating ERP/MRP system with valid information to support sales, purchasing and planning decisions.
7.
) Manage Shipping, Receiving and Material Handlers.
Drive timely resolution of receiving issues, shipping, and inventory discrepancies.
8.
) Support Production Manager with Closing and analyzing production jobs.
