4 Full-time 8 hours ago Full Job Description The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for creating the vision for the Expedite/Domestic Air product by having a solid understanding of the competitive landscape, knowing strengths and weaknesses of the current product, and identifying what the needs of our customers and providers are in the space.
The Principal Product Manager is accountable for the entire lifecycle of the product and will work across functions including Sales, Account Management, Executive Leadership, Operations, Solution Design, Finance, Analytics, and IT to bring products to market and beyond.
This person will also be responsible for identifying revenue models, areas of investment and growth, and setting top & bottom-line goals for the product.
This person will have a blend of business and technical savvy, skills to build big picture visions and the drive to make those visions reality.
The ideal candidate for this position will be located in the Minneapolis or Carson, Ca areas, but considerations will be made for strong candidates in other locales.
Business Planning and Development:
Creates and drives ongoing multiyear strategies, roadmaps, project schedules, and business plans for the product including conducting market research, analyzing market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy for a fast-changing industry Understands whitespace to identify opportunities for increasing value to customers and providers through innovative continuous improvement and new product development Creates go to market plans with a solid understanding of how customers buy and C.

Includes developing internal and external sales campaigns, marketing materials, and industry event strategies Researches untapped segments within the product and create plans on how we can evolve into new areas to gain market share and exceed growth goals Makes recommendations for structure and talent needs to support the growth of the product Identifies risks and threats within the product and work collaboratively to mitigate Financial Management:
Has accountability to KPI's of the product including gross revenue, margin, and volume.
Review performance regularly with service line leadership Establishes targets for cost to serve and purchased services of the product and creates plans to reduce expenditures and drive out waste Conducts ROI valuations for investments and be accountable for results Creates annual budget for product Creates and implements pricing strategies to give CHR a competitive position in the market while earning an acceptable margin Operational Excellence:
Sets the strategic direction to ensure a positive experience for both internal and external customers Oversees the creation, implementation, and adoption of technology Establishes service delivery and quality KPI's and creates plans of improvement when they are not met Develops analytics and reporting for the product to achieve successful outcomes for internal and external customers Business Knowledge:
Possesses a solid understanding of CHR's competitive advantages, processes, technology, segments, and growth goals; aligns product accordingly to enterprise strategies Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders externally within customers, suppliers, and industry in addition to throughout the organization Known organizationally as the expert of the product within the organization and represents the product both externally and internally Knowledgeable of the technology landscape for the product and how CHR can win digitally Understanding of supply networks used in the product and works with capacity management to develop supplier strategies Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 7 years of experience in Expedite and/or Domestic Air for a manufacturer, retailer, 3PL or related industry experience Minimum 3 years of business management experience Ability to travel up to 15% domestically Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, or related field Experience growing or bringing products to market Proven track record of applying the following skills:
Define and execute on strategy Selling both internally and externally Pricing, reporting, and analytic abilities Ability to build strong collaborative relationships Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Strong customer service skills Strong decision-making skills Ability to use financial and operating data as a basis for decision making and improvement Able to effectively prioritize work with multiple stakeholders and deadlines Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
